Social Responsibility

At C.S.S., we get as excited about new technology as the next guy, maybe more.  The truth is that there are many new computers out there that are faster, sleeker, smaller… cooler.  But old computers deserve love, too!

That’s why we have partnered with InterConnection to provide a free computer recycling and reuse drop-off site in West Seattle.  When you drop off your computer in our office, you are doing your local and global community a great service (and you thought you were just taking out the trash!)

Due to space limitations, we can only accept laptops and desktops at this time—no peripherals (monitors, keyboards, etc.)  Peripherals (and computers) can be delivered to the InterConnection Center.  You can also arrange directly with InterConnection for a pick-up—visit the InterConnection website for more information.

Please drop off your computer during our business hours!  You will receive a receipt for tax-deduction purposes when you drop off a computer for recycling or reuse during our business hours.

InterConnection is a Seattle based non-profit.  Their core mission is to provide computers to underserved people and communities around the world.  From their Seattle-based computer recycling and reuse programs to schools and organizations far and wide, they “make a connection that makes a difference”!  Learn more about them at www.interconnection.org.

Did we mention this is a free service?  Recycling a computer properly is essential to preserving our delicate environment, as computers contain many potentially harmful elements.  Reusing a computer is even better as it extends the life of that computer and helps someone in need.

Some more facts about InterConnection:
